Her screening process immediately identifies the most important movement challenges relating to each individual, then incorporates a series of corrective movements and exercises to help remedy each challenge.

Her attention to mobility, stability, and neuromuscular activation, along with advanced rehabilitation techniques are proven to result in a safer, consistent and more efficient golf swing that leads to greater power, improved control, and lower scores as well as injury prevention.

Lesley presented her primary golf research at the World Scientific Congress of Golf in Brisbane Australia (2014) and her latest case-study research at St.Andrews in Scotland (2016). She continues to develop her knowledge and skills on a regular basis with various biomechanical and neuro-physiology seminars and workshops making her one of the most sought after golf movement specialists in the UK.

TESTIMONIALS

Working with you on your online program has been very helpful for my game.
– You’re awesome about responding to questions and being available to help.
– I’ve enjoyed learning more about the body and it’s function in making a good golf swing. And you know it’s correct because it’s based on science and studying anatomy and not opinion. That’s important to me.
– Exercises are easy to do anywhere and having you watch and guide me through how to do them properly and safely is huge.
– I like that the exercises give you the “feels” you can apply to your swing and recognize whether you’re moving correctly or not.
– Every golfer knows you have to “load” into the trail side and get the weight
forward at impact but how to do it can be a mystery. How you describe and train it makes it easier to understand and accomplish.
– The two-points is great from a playability and educational perspective. Something I now see with most good players, how
planted that trail foot is as they wind up the upper body. Kind of the “secret sauce” that I picked up the most from the sessions.
– The awareness and strength gained with the pelvic floor and lower trunk also bleeds into everyday life. Having that structure is huge for staying healthy.

I met Lesley in June 2014, when she invited me to Roehampton University to analyse my swing on the computer, using force plates and motion sensors.  We discussed my swing and I mentioned that I had a lower back issue and always thought it was the cause for a lack of power, flexibility and quality ball striking. Lesley then explained that in order to maximise power improve flexibility and prevent injuries the body must become more stable from the bottom up, starting with the feet and ankles and then continuing up through the knees hips.

After rigging me up with sensors she asked me to step onto the force plates and hit a few shots with my normal swing. After several shots she came over and asked me to utilise my feet differently applying a little more contact with the ground from 2 specific areas of my feet. I hit several more shots on the force plates and found an immediate change in how my body performed. I guess it was the first swing Eureka moment for sometime. It didn’t feel immediately comfortable but it did feel more stable more solid and immediately I wanted to learn more.

Lesley kindly offered to help me improve my lower back and overall posture and stability. Using her knowledge of the body and biomechanics we agreed to a weekly/fortnightly routine. Lesley would come along to the golf club and work with me using specific exercises relating to my issues.  In 2015 I went back to Roehampton to have my swing analised again.

A year on and my swing feels stronger than it ever has, my ball striking has improved and I hit the ball 20 yds further. More importantly my back feels great.

Thanks to Lesley I have learnt so much more about how my body works. Subtle differences in balance points, postural alignment and positioning and how to exercise and strengthen my body in order to prevent injuries.

I also now realise just how much the lower body stability and strength impacts what happens in the upper body, shoulders and arms.

The help and knowledge I have gained from Lesley has been a huge help in my personal development and has also improved my coaching tremendously.

Finding it impossible to control my body in the way I was being asked to, my golf wasn’t improving despite the lessons I was taking with a highly regarded Pro. I had hit a brick wall. Fortunately, the Pro’s suggestion to meet up with Lesley was a turning point.

Lesley’s assessment and explanation of the physical imbalances and weaknesses that were compromising my golf movement were illuminating for me. Following some treatment and a targeted plan of exercises at home, I saw immediate improvements and we have continued to progress ever since.

Along the way, Lesley has given me an appreciation for stability and control, what these things actually felt like and why they are so important to your golf swing. I now have a much better understanding of and control over what I need my body to do. My handicap is already on the way down and I have even managed to win the weekend roll up at my golf club for the first time. I can’t wait for next season as I feel there is a lot more improvement to come.

While we have successfully built this foundation for my swing, my running and other fitness work also improved. My performances are better, I feel more mobile and haven’t lost any training time through injury.

I have been working with Lesley for two years now and have noticed a considerable change both in my fitness, strength and body shape. Previously, I had restrictions in certain parts of my body which I was not even aware of that were affecting my golf swing, especially as I was getting older. Focusing on these areas has given me more power and stability in my golf swing and has enabled me to lengthen my career competing in PGA and Senior events.

I still continue to work with Lesley in terms of muscle groups in various parts of my body such as the shoulders, hips, glutes and inner thighs, and it continues to make a difference relating to a more consistent striking of the ball and increased length, compared to when I was ten years younger.

I thoroughly endorse the work that Lesley is doing in terms of enabling the body to move in a much improved way, for stability and mobility in the golf swing. I only wish I had known all this when I was on Tour!
